all current Health & Safety, Manual Handling, Infection Control and Flame
Retardancy requirements. They provide the ultimate solution to accommodating
parents overnight on Children’s Wards, fathers on Maternity units, partners

Day Surgery units and in Midwife-Led Birth Centres.
Our heavy-duty, all-steel bedframes have an unbeaten service record, are designed for
maximum safety, durability, ease-of-handling, comfort and space efficiency
and will outlast ‘similar’ products by a factor of many times. They will
give years of trouble-free service and are GUARANTEED FOR A FULL 5 YEARS.
Our single beds will comfortably cope with loads of up to 200Kg and our
double beds with up to 400Kg. All our mattresses are wipe-clean/waterproof
and flame retardant to Ignition source 5. Source 7 mattresses can also be
supplied. Our bedframes and mattresses can be cleaned just like ordinary
Hospital beds and mattresses, using the same cleaning agents.
Our ‘GLIDEAWAY’® Guest Beds are in a class of their own and have
revolutionised the Hospital and Hospice Guest Bed market. We pioneered the
use of heavy-duty wallbeds in Hospitals and Hospices and our world class family of
heavy-duty, single and double ‘WISKAWAY’® Wall Beds, includes our unique
‘NEAT-A-WARD’® Patient Wall Beds, developed for use on Day Surgery units and
in
the new generation of Midwife-Led Birth Centres.
SPECIAL SIZES AND OTHER MODIFICATIONS.
We are accustomed to working closely with project architects, have a
highly flexible and innovative approach to solving problems for our clients
and can produce special sizes, variants and bespoke products. In addition to
the standard sizes featured on
this website, we can offer our products in made-to-measure sizes, for larger
projects. Other modifications are also available on larger projects, to suit
the customer's requirements. Examples include extra high/low beds, beds to
fit into awkward spaces, around pillars, in front of radiators, etc. We are
able to be so flexible because our beds are individually made, for each
project.
The items featured on this website are our most popular products for use in
Hospitals and Hospices, but we can also supply other wall-folding and
non-folding models, not featured here. So, if you can't find what you are
looking for on this website, please do ask, as we may nonetheless be able to
help.
FINISHES. In addition to a
choice of 15 standard, wipe-clean, powder-coated colours for our bedframes,
we can offer most RAL colours, for larger projects. As far as cabinet
finishes are concerned, as well as a wide range of standard, wipe-clean, MFC
and Plastic Laminate finishes, we can match specific finishes on larger
projects, including veneers. We are also able to supply and fit
complementary matching furniture to our wallbeds, such as wardrobes/lockers,
work tops, etc.
INSTALLATION SERVICE. We
offer a full installation service for our wallbeds and our experienced
fitters are equally at home working on live Wards, refurbishment, or
new-build projects.
FREE IN-HOUSE CONSULTANCY SERVICE.
We operate a free in-house consultancy service to advise on the best
model(s)/size(s) for the job in hand and will be pleased to attend design
meetings, review plans, measure-up on site, etc. Our MD, John Miller, is the
UK’s leading authority on the design and use of space-saving beds for
Hospitals and Hospices and is currently writing a book on the subject, which
is due out in the Summer of 2017.
