Beds have an unbeatable service record,
meet all current Health & Safety, Manual Handling and Infection Control
requirements and eliminate the need for ward staff to trundle makeshift beds
to and fro and make them up/unmake them each evening/morning. This leads to

model, when 16 of these Parents’ Wall Beds (illustrated here), were
installed on the Paediatric Oncology Ward (C2), in 1993. 24 years later,

The first 16 'WISKAWAY'® 7500H Wall Beds proved such a success, that
more were ordered for Ward C2 and for several other Paediatric Wards (C3
and D2), as well as for the adult Oncology Ward (D10) and, more
recently, for the new Paediatric Assessment Unit and for Ward F3.
There are now more than 60 'WISKAWAY'® 7500H Wall Beds in service at
Addenbrookes and hundreds more on Children’s Wards and in Children’s
Hospitals up and down the country. This model has become the favourite
choice with our many Hospital customers, for the Parents' wallbed
application and is also popular for use in Hospices.
Addenbrookes currently also have a number of our Horizontal 'WISKAWAY'®
6000H Wall Beds in service, additionally use a special version of our
double ‘NEAT-A-WARD’® Patient Wall Bed (in their Rosie Maternity Hospital) and also

A current requirement in Children's Hospitals is to
provide overnight accommodation for at least one parent, as near as possible
to the child's bed.
