It comes, as standard, with a high specification,
foldable,
lightweight, foam mattress, with replaceable (zip-on/off), breathable,
wipe-clean/waterproof cover, flame retardant to Ignition Source 5.
The 'GLIDEAWAY'® will sleep even overweight adults (up
to 200Kg) for extended periods, in total comfort and is a particularly
popular choice for accommodating parents overnight on Children's Wards,
fathers on Maternity units and relatives and partners on adult Hospital
Wards and in Hospices.
In addition to a choice of 2 standard sizes, there is also a slightly more
compact size, for where space is particularly limited, originally developed
for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and known as the BCH ‘GLIDEAWAY’® and an
Extra High version of the two standard sizes, originally developed for a
Marie Curie Hospice and known as the ‘GLIDEAWAY’® XH. The Extra High model
is designed for use in Hospices and on Palliative Care Wards, to enable a
patient and their partner to sleep side-by-side, at Hospital bed height and
additionally incorporates a useful bedding tray.

Guest Bed is the safest, strongest, easiest to use and move around and most
comfortable, Guest Bed on the market today. Its heavy-duty all-steel
construction, ease of operation, wipe-clean mattress, choice of different
bedframe colours (see 7 above) and five single sizes (see 8 above), set
completely new standards and put the ‘GLIDEAWAY’® in a class of its own.
