For putting up patients’ relatives in Hospitals and Hospices, for instance, there is a choice of our 8ins.(20cms) deep ‘VISCOUNT’® smooth top interior sprung Mattress with a fixed, breathable, but wipe-clean/waterproof cover (see picture 4), or our high specification, 6ins.(15cms) deep, ‘FLEXICA’® foam Mattress with the same breathable, wipe-clean/waterproof, but removable (zip-on/off), cover - (see picture 2). Both mattresses are medium-firm and flame retardant to Ignition Source 5 (Medium Hazard). The ‘VISCOUNT’® is additionally available in an Ignition Source 7 (Higher Risk) version.

Where our beds are being used to accommodate patients themselves, (as opposed to relatives and friends) such as our single and double ‘NEAT-A-WARD’® Patient Wall Beds in Company and School Sick-rooms and on Day Surgery units and in the new generation of Midwife-Led Birth Centres, we offer our high specification, 6ins. (15cms) deep medium-firm ‘MEDIFLEX’® foam Mattress with a removable (zip-on/off), wipe-clean/waterproof cover, similar to conventional Hospital mattress covers - (see picture 3).

Our mattresses can be cleaned in exactly the same way as a standard Hospital Mattress and using the same cleaning agents.

Our mattresses are designed with three main things in mind - Infection Control, Flame Retardancy and TOTAL COMFORT!

Manufactured under strict quality control by skilled craftsmen and GUARANTEED FOR TWELVE MONTHS, our wipe-clean/waterproof mattresses comply fully with the flame retardancy requirements for hotels and most other contract applications, including most Hospital and Hospice applications: (Ignition Source 5, BS 7177 Medium Hazard). Our ‘VISCOUNT’® interior sprung mattress is also available flame retardant to Ignition Source 7 (Higher Risk), for use on locked Mental Health units, for instance.

The ’GLIDEAWAY’® comes complete with its own special, high specification, foldable, lightweight, medium-firm foam mattress with removable (zip-on/off), breathable, wipe-clean/waterproof cover - (see picture 1).

To complement our ‘WISKAWAY’® Wall Beds, we offer a choice of high specification wipe-clean/waterproof, medium-firm, foam and interior sprung mattresses in a choice of standard and made-to-measure single and double sizes,' depending on the application in question.
